\nI can read enough Russian to know when I\u2019m seeing Ukrainian (both are written using the Cyrillic alphabet) \u2013 like the label on this package.<\/p>\n

The brand is \u041b\u0430\u0441\u0443\u043d\u043a\u0430 (Lasunka) a leading producer of ice cream in Ukraine; it means delicacy or, loosely translated, sweet tooth; \u043f\u0438\u0440\u043e\u0436\u0435\u043d\u043e-\u043c\u043e\u0440\u043e\u0436\u0435\u043d\u043e means cake-ice cream; \u0433\u0440\u0443\u0448\u043e\u0432\u0435 indicates pear (pictured on the label – look closely); and \u0437 \u043a\u0430\u0440\u0430\u043c\u0435\u043b\u044c\u043d\u043d\u043c \u0441\u043e\u0443\u0441\u043e\u043c translates as “with caramel sauce.” (\u0414\u044f\u043a\u0443\u044e, \u0413\u0443\u0433\u043b\u0438\u0442\u0438.)<\/p>\n

\nWhat appears to be a brown cardboard cup is actually a soft edible bowl (the \u201ccake\u201d) cradling three cute soft ice cream florets. The ice crystals are the byproduct of storage, not the product of creativity, but they were so pretty, I couldn\u2019t resist taking a photo before dispatching them.<\/p>\n
