{"id":20861,"date":"2025-04-06T09:03:36","date_gmt":"2025-04-06T13:03:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/?p=20861"},"modified":"2025-04-06T09:03:36","modified_gmt":"2025-04-06T13:03:36","slug":"alpha-bakery","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/?p=20861","title":{"rendered":"Alpha Bakery"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If your native language was Italian or Spanish and you aspired to start up a top-line, first-class bakery and food shop, you might consider naming it \u201cNumero Uno\u201d \u2013 but if your native language was Greek, you might opt for \u201cAlpha.\u201d And Alpha Bakery &#038; Mediterranean Marketplace has succeeded in achieving that status.<\/p>\n<p>Backstory: It\u2019s the inception of food tour season and I always return for multiple visits to each neighborhood we cover to see what\u2019s new and what\u2019s departed. I was on the hunt for some seriously needed newcomers for my Flavors of Little Levant ethnojunket in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, and I spotted Alpha at 7717 5th Ave.<\/p>\n<p>Predominantly Greek products lined the shelves, but it was the ample array of freshly prepared dishes and baked goods that caught my eye. Never had semolina custard?
