That and the gin and grenadine cocktail are what come to mind when I hear the evocative phrase, &#8220;Pink Lady.&#8221; So when I passed Pinklady Cheese Tart on Mott St in Manhattan\u2019s Chinatown, logic dictated that the reference was to neither.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7632-edited-1440-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7632-edited-1440-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1391\" height=\"1043\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-20906\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7632-edited-1440-2.jpg 1391w, https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7632-edited-1440-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7632-edited-1440-2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7632-edited-1440-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ethnojunkie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/IMG_7632-edited-1440-2-400x300.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1391px) 100vw, 1391px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nBased on sweet Japanese cheese tarts, these handmade delights are overflowing with a creamy, cheesy filling nestled in a crispy shortbread crust and sometimes crowned with an eye-catching topping.<\/p>\n<p>Available in a multitude of flavors including original, ube, Japanese matcha, lemon, chocolate, strawberry, black sesame and blueberry, they can be enjoyed warm and oozy or cold like cheesecake; shown here are ube and chocolate at mousse-like room temperature.
